Hello,

Thank you for the likes and follows.
There hasn’t been an update in two weeks and if anyone read the state of the last update they could see why. I just did and wondered where was my mind? I know now but two weeks ago that was up in the air. Against previous rules, I had to clarify some sentences in that short post. I was advertising myself to people prior to that post. If anyone read it, they would think I am the biggest idiot and the idea of me being a published writer a pipedream. The sad part is I wouldn’t blame them. That post had nothing, no Microsoft spellcheck or Grammarly grammar test, half sentences, and gibberish. It was on the internet for 3 weeks as an incoherent mess. I am feeling all kinds of cringe right now or at the time of writing this update. I fixed the previous update to the best of my ability at this time, maybe it makes better sense now.
The weeks following it were a general mess as well. I thought I had a handle on the work/life balance, but something slipped. Nothing is settled and yes, we are still in the process of moving. Many things we occasionally use is in the apartment I will be moving to and the things I use every day are still in the Queens house. I know eventually I will have to send my essentials to the apartment and then hustle my butt to work. I am not dwelling too much on my feelings about it. They are not good or productive. Inevitably there will be time to deal, but not now. There will be a silver lining to all the upheaval even if I have to draw one myself.
Full disclosure I didn’t attempt to read any of the books mentioned in the previous post. It had nothing to do with the authors or their body of work. I am a big fan of these ladies. My problem was there was no comfortable place to read. I like to read in cozy places, and I haven’t had one in a long time. I also listen to books on audio, during the commute to work. Two of the books mentioned have not published their audiobook counterparts. The books are still on my TBR. Meanwhile, I am looking at various manhwas by various comic apps, Tappytoon, Webtoon, Tapas, and Manta. Many of these comics are episodes away from their arcs or big reveals. I tend to follow romances, but I have also read supernatural or fantasy, thrillers, mystery, and drama, these are the labels used in the apps. Many of these stories follow the regression or isekai trope. There are rare stories that don’t use the tropes and they do well, but I find myself rating a story by how well they use the tropes. There are times when the tropes don’t make any difference and there are times when they do. I have not reached the end of any of these stories, so I don’t know what I can say about them, except that I like the artwork. The stories work if you are in the correct mindset.
This week, the writing projects are Connection Lost and Dark Science Manifesto, and there is another story in development. I don’t feel comfortable writing about it just yet. I don’t have anything important to say about the progress of these stories. Connection Lost is a novella and Dark Science is supposed to be a short story. I am having trouble keeping them contained to just a few scenes. There might be a solution in an article or craft book on the subject.
That is all for now. I hope these words find you all doing well. Remember to be kind to each other and be open to positive opportunities.
End
