Thank you for the likes and follows.
Trying to stay positive in these trying times has been a struggle. There are times when no amount of writing can get me through these feelings. I just have to deal.
Last week, I didn’t do much but the bare minimum. In the story Connection Lost, the protagonist is having a tense dinner with her older sister. In the backstory, the actions of the lead that resulted in jail doomed her older sister’s prospects. They haven’t spoken to each other in over 4 years. The older sister is suspicious about the situation the lead is not about to tell her. I could write more but that is as far as my brain will take me.
In reading, I am listening to Hollywood Homicide a friend shared a reviewer’s notes template with me and I will be using it to help me keep on track with digital books and audiobooks.
I’ve been listening to the dramatic podcast on Spotify Batman: Unburied. It has a star-studded cast – Winston Duke, as Bruce Wayne and Batman, Lance Reddick, Gina Rodriguez, and Hasan Minaj, just to name a few. Everyone in the cast is notable and the story is very interesting. It starts like it is a What if and then goes beyond that. I don’t know how long the series will be but I am getting a kick out of the six, I’ve heard so far. This is the second Batman audio drama that I’ve listened to. The first was The Batman Audio adventures and it starred actor Jeffrey Wright as Batman and other notable actors in key roles. I heard that one on HBOMAX, but I’ve seen it on Spotify as well. Marvel has done some decent audio dramas about Wolverine and others. I heard them on Stitcher but they are also on Spotify. Audio dramas are a little different than audiobooks for me. Some might disagree but I think they take up different headspaces and can both be very entertaining.
That is all I have to talk about. The goal for this week is to do better than last week. Remember to be kind to each other. We need this more than ever.
