The last two weeks have been interesting. Last year author and YouTube creator John Green told his brother and audiences about the artist Hiroyuki Doi and his artwork of drawing small circles to make a larger picture. John Green wrote an essay about it, made a recording and posted it on his podcast called the Anthropocene reviewed and decided to draw 170,000 circles himself. I am not sure in which order he did all that, I just know he told us about it last year. In the essay, Green explained the reasons Hiroyuki Doi started this art project. In the YT video, Green speaks about his reasons for doing the same. Which is this more or less, despite him doing the same motion over and over again, it is impossible to make a perfect circle. Each circle is different in their own way. Fans of the Vlogbrothers and Nerdfighteria, joined him on his challenge and were very creative with their efforts. I tried but for whatever reason last year I just could not to it. I am into coloring. I have several adult coloring books and a large number of colored pencils and markers. Two years ago, as a hobby that would stay a hobby, I wanted to learn how to draw. Last weekend, I started to drawing circles and it gave me the same pleasant feelings I get from coloring. It could be described if I think about it some more but this is just an overview. The picture was not as creative as Hiroyuki Doi or Nerdfighteria fans, in a video later that year, John Green shared with us, some that was sent to him, but I am content with what I produced and I plan to do another.
I am still evaluating and reorganizing my writing methods. But now it is October and most of the writers I follow on YouTube are talking about Preptober, the preparation before the major writing event that is called National Novel Writing Month a.k.a. NaNoWriMo. I don’t know if I mentioned it before I am on the fence about participating. I will be writing no matter what. I have made plans for the next 90 days and if all goes well improve this website, it’s content and be in better place for readers.
