What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

I didn’t think I had a morning ritual. I thank god for waking up. This is not exactly a prayer of any kind. It is a literal mental message. I had Covid in 2020. Nights were the worst. Being able to see the light in the sky became special. Then I go to the bathroom and to the bathroom things. If I have some place to go to, I get dressed. When I don’t, I put on the kettle to make a cup of coffee, then change into confortable clothes like yoga pants and t-shirt socks (in the winter) with slippers. I decide where I will be setting up my laptop, the choices are the kitchen table or the small desk in my room. Once that decision is made, I do the set up, make the coffee and sit down to catch up on what ever news I missed. This might go over an hour. I never timed these things.

It means God will Increase. I read that it is Hebrew but a quick Google search also reported that it is French and means pretty.

My name is popular thanks to Dolly Parton. I believe in the United States it is considered a Southern name. However, my parents are from the West Indies and I was born in New York. My mom found my name in the newspaper. There was a housefire and the baby Jolene was saved. Otherwise, I would be called Stacy.
